INTRUDUCTION:-
The office of the District Transport Office, Mahabubabad was established on 11.10.2016 established District Transport Office under Transport Department by redeploying the staff from erstwhile Warangal District and this office is functioning from 12-10-2016 at Mahabubabad District level under orders of the Hon’ble Governent of Telangana this department is rendering citizen friendly services to the people of 16 Mandals of newly formed Mahabubabd District through online applications to the utmost satisfaction of the public visiting the office. .
Role and Function of the Department:-
- Issuing of Driving Licenses and Registration of Transport & Non-Transport Vehicles is the core duty of the District Transport Office, The candidates who crossed 18years of age and residents of the Jurisdiction of the District are eligible for obtaining Driving License.

- Issuing of Fitness Certificates and Permits for the Transport Vehicles.
- Issuing of Authorizations to the Motor Vehicle Dealers to Register the vehicles Temporarily.
- Issuing of Licenses to the Driving Schools for imparting Driving training to the public.
- Issuing of Licenses to the Pollution under control centers for issuing P.U,C certificates to the vehicles.
- Enforcing of the Motor Vehicle Act and Rules where the vehicle owners violated under this Act & Rules.
- Enforcement of the illicit operation of the vehicles.
- Review of accident reports.
- Inspection of Driving Schools, Polluction Under control centers and Dealer showrooms.
