  • In the present staff in Mandal level, MPSOs are available (13) out of (16) MPSOs in (03) Mandals are vacant i.e. Bayyaram, Gangaram & Danthalapally.
  • In Divisional level Mahabubabad & Thorrur (2) Div. Dy.SOs are available.

  • The role of Chief Planning Office:
  1. Daily collecting the rainfall form the mandal level and inform the District administration and state HODs.
  2. Collection and compilation of Crop area shown at Village level with the help of Agriculture, Horticulture, Irrigation & Revenue officials.
  3. Every Vanakalam (Kharif) & Yasandi (Rabi) allotted crops by the State Govt. conducting the Crop Cutting Experiments and estimate the yields in the District level.
  4. Collecting the GP, MPP & ZPP annual accounts .
  5. Adhoc service i.e. Socio economic survey, Minor irrigation, 7th Economic census, Population Census and any other assigned by the State and Central in time to time.
  6. Hon’ble MPs(LS/RS), MLCs, MLAs, SDF, SDF (PPP), CBF & DMF sanction of works monitoring with Executive Agencies and release of bills.
  7. Preparation of VVIP notes at District and State level.
  8. Collection of notes from District officers for meetings.
  9. Preparation of all types of Maps Village to District level.

To support, Collector’s/CPO’s/District officials with, TRAC library of satellite datasets, SOI topo-sheets, cadastral maps and thematic layers such as land use land cover, canal network, drainage, Irrigation command area, Soil Resources, Soil fertility, Geomorphology, Ground water Potential, Ground water Quality, Transport Network for planning and monitoring developmental activities.

In coordination with Collector’s/CPO’s, providing Remote Sensing, GIS and GPS related services to various line departments such as Irrigation, Panchayatraj, Rural Development, Agriculture, Health, Education, Fisheries and Mines etc., to know about the district and plan for the district.

Provision of Administration maps to all District Collectors of the region as per the instructions of the respective collector in the region

Deployment of Lightning Detection System (LDS) at Mahabubabad District, its impact on managing Thunder storms and related disasters leading to loss human life &  property.

 .
