FOLLOWING SCHEMES WERE BEING IMPLEMENTED BY DIST. SC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, MAHABUBABAD

(A) MAINTENANCE OF HOSTELS (ADMISSIONS)

A total number of (20) Govt. SC Hostels are functioning in the district out of which, (15) are for Boys and (05) are for Girls. 

In all the (20) SC Institutions a total number of 1801 students were residing during the year 2019-20, out of which 1321 are Boys and 480 are girls.

(B): Maintenance of College Hostels

A total number of (4) hostels were sanctioned by the Government for providing boarding facilities to the SC students perusing Post-Metric courses in the district out of which (02) for Girls and (02) for Boys are functioning in the District.  These hostels are being maintained with the MTF Scholarship releases for the students admitted in the hostels.  The Government has enhanced MTF @ Rs.1500/- to DAH students irrespective of their course of study. At present (02) College Hostels are being maintained both for SC Boy and Girl students at Mahabubabad and (02) College Hostels at Thorrur for both Boys & Girls.

Special Camp for SSC Boarders:

A one-day Special Camp shall be conducted for all the SSC Boarders studying in SC Hostels on how to Prepare, how to appear, how to overcome fear of examinations and motivated on each and every subject with Expert Teachers during the month of December 2019.

Special Diet:

            A Special Diet is being implemented for SSC Boarders in the Hostels for (100) days of preparation @ Rs.15/- per boarder and they shall be provided with a Snack item followed by Tea. In our Districts, the HWOs are providing Snacks like Samosa, Dil Pasand, Biscuit and as per the wish of the boarders.

Conduct of Medical Camps:

Medical Camps are being conducted regularly in the Hostels with PHC Doctors for sake of boarders’ health.

SUPPLY OF AMENITIES BOARDERS OF HOSTELS

Supply of Dresses

The Hostel boarders will be supplied @ (4) pairs of dresses to each hostel boarder every year.

Bedding Material :  The TESCO, Hyderabad has supplied the Bedding Material and the admitted boarders will be supplied @ one bed sheet and one carpet each, every year.  During the academic year 2019-20 bedding material was already supplied to all the hostel boarders.

Supply of Note Books :    All the boarders who were admitted in S.C. Hostels were supplied with Note Books as per the scale prescribed by the Government through TS Trade Promotion Corporation Limited for the year 2020-21.

  1. Supply of Additional Amenities:

As per the approval of the District Purchase Committee Steel Plates and Glasses, R.O Plants, CC Cameras, School Bags, Bunker Beds with Mattresses and Pillows, Woolen Blankets, Leather Shoe and Sports Shoe, Sweaters were supplied to all hostel boarders during the year, 2018-19. 

Further, as per the orders of the Government and orders of the Director, SC Development Department, TS Hyderabad Excursion to boarders along with Science Fair, Motivation Classes and Annual Day Celebrations is being planned.

  1. Cosmetic charges

As per the rates fixed by the Government @ Rs.50/- per month towards cosmetic charges and Rs.12/- towards hair cutting charges will be sanctioned to each male boarder.  The female boarders are being paid @ Rs.50/- per month towards cosmetic charges and an additional amount of Rs.25/- per month is being paid towards sanitary napkin charges to VIII to X Class.  During the academic year 2019-20 the cosmetic charges were already claimed and paid by the HWOs to the hostel boarders concerned up to the month of March 2020.

  1. Diet Charges

As per the rates fixed by the Government an amount of Rs.950/- to lower class hostel boarders up to VII Class and @ Rs.1100/- to higher class hostel boarders from VIII to X Class are being spent for providing of Diet in the hostels.  (Menu Chart copy enclosed).

  • (A):  SANCTION OF POST-METRIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO SC STUDENTS

Post-Metric Scholarships are being sanctioned online to the eligible SC students studying Intermediate, Graduation, PG, Professional and Paramedical and other courses whose parental income is within 2.00 Lakhs per annum. The students should apply online through website www.telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in website for sanction of Post-Metric Scholarships as per their eligibility.

The Director, SC Development Department, TS Hyderabad has sanctioned sufficient budget for sanction of Scholarships.

III.(C)  AMBEDKAR OVERSEAS VIDYANIDHI

  1. The Government has introduced a New Scheme named “Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidhi” scheme to provide Financial Assistance to SC Meritorious Students for pursuing studies abroad under Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan. An amount of Rs.20,00,000/- has been fixed towards Financial Assistance in this scheme along with Ticket fare and Visa Charges. (2) Students have been selected from the District and have been sanctioned their Tuition Fee, Flight Charges and Visa Charges.
  2. SANCTION OF PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO SC STUDENTS STUDYING FROM V TO X CLASSES.

The Govt. has introduced Rajiv Vidya Deevena Programme for sanction of Pre-metric Scholarships for 9th & 10th Class SC Students studying in Schools run by the Government and local bodies such as Zilla Parishad, Municipalities, Residential Schools KGBVs and Aided Schools.

Further, the Government have also introduced the Rajiv Vidya Deevena Programmed under Pre-Metric Scholarships for 5th to 8th Class SC Students studying in Schools run by the Government and local bodies such as Zilla Parishad, Municipalities, Residential Schools KGBVs and Aided Schools.

The eligible students will apply for Pre-Metric Scholarships online and they have to submit Caste certificate, Income Certificate obtained from Mee Seva and to submit their Bank Account Numbers and Aadhaar Cards for sanction of Pre-Metric Scholarships.  Further, the Hostel Welfare Officers concerned who were entrusted with verification work of Pre-Metric Scholarships will verify the details submitted by the students in the respective schools with the Co-ordination of the Head Masters concerned and after verification they have to submit the application forms of students to the Dist. SC Development Officers.  The Dist. SC Development Officers will sanction Pre-Metric S/ships to eligible SC students from V to X Classes under the above mentioned relevant schemes

  1. Admission of SC students into Best Available Schools

The Government have issued orders for admission of SC Merit School going children into reputed schools and convents for providing better educational facilities with a maximum amount of Rs.20,000/- to each student per annum. 

Further, the Govt. have also introduced the new scheme of “Day Scholars Scheme” for admission in Best Available Schools during the academic year 2016-17 with a view to provide better Educational facilities with a maximum amount of Rs.20,000/- to each student per annum and Rs.30,000/- to the Residential pattern students. The selection of students will be done by the District Selection Committee duly conducting lottery under the Day Scholars and Residential Pattern and will be allotted to different Best Available Schools selected in the District.

During the year 2020-21, (18) Day Scholars and (18) Residential Students have been selected and allotted in (03) Schools in the District.

  1. Admission into Hyderabad Public School:

     For the Academic year 2020-21, one student has been selected on Lucky Draw in presence of Joint Collector and admitted into Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur. The Scholarship will be paid by the Dy. Director, SCDD, Rangareddy District.

Incentives to Inter Caste Married Couples

The Government is encouraging the Inter Caste Marriages to the Inter Caste Married Couples to eradicate caste system in the society.  The incentive amount has been enhanced from Rs.50,000/-to Rs.2,50,000/- by the Government from 30.11.2019.

During this year (17) Couples have been issued Cheques for Rs.50,000/- each as incentive under the Inter Caste Marriage Scheme.

SC HOUSE HOLDS CONSUMPTION OF FREE POWER BELOW 101 UNITS PER MONTH

            The State Government has taken a policy decision to provide free power to S.C. beneficiaries who are residing in S.C. Habitations and consuming less than 50 units per month vide G.O.Ms.No.58 SW (SCP.I) Dept, Dt.2.7.2013. And the Govt. has enhanced the units to 101 and is being sanctioned to the S.C. households consuming below 101 units power per month through the Department.    

CRUCIAL WELFARE FUND:

The Govt. has introduced a new Scheme “CRUCIAL WELFARE FUND” to benefit the SC poor individuals financially, those who will not cover under any existing Government schemes due to some rules/regulations. The Director, SC Development Department, TS Hyderabad shall release the amounts to the Districts, where the District Level Committee headed by the District Collector shall recommend the claims/ applications from the individuals and recommend for sanction of eligible persons under various categories such as Presentation of Research papers, Attending of Seminars, Emergency Medical Expenditure to Hostel Boarders, Awards of Excellence at District Level Competitions, Emergency repairs in Hostels, Other Financial Assistance to attend National/ International Fellowship programmes, provision of providing Laptops to eligible students, Participation in National Sports and Games, Conduct of Workshops and Training Programmes and other related which enhance the lives of SC individuals.
