- DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION ::
The Dornakal Municipality presently initiated door to door collection of Waste collection (Solid and Wet Waste), due to non-availability of sufficient adequate Workers & Vehicles it is still in progress of reaching 100 % Door to Door Collection. Presently Dornakal Municipality holds 2 Tractors and they are on contract hire based since the funds are lacking in owning municipal vehicles i.e., (Municipal Tractors, Municipal Tricycles or Municipal Auto’s) the door to door collection will be 100% accomplished if the above mention vehicles are sanction by approving our proposals and releasing funds.

- SEGGREGATION ::
The daily collection of door to door wastage is not segregating Dry and Wet waste separately from house-holds in bygone days but in recent times as we had weekly review meeting as that collection of wastage is generated 0.5 tones in a day and dumped at in dumping yard parallel along with wet wastage and it started producing pollution misquotes and etc., presently we had a action plan in collecting both wet waste and solid wastage in different bins and it is dumped at their specified yards. As the Dump yard in Dornakal Municipality is existing an area of 0.5 Acers and it is situated at 2 Kilo meters away from the residential settlement of town.

- DUST BINS ::
We are proposed to issue the dustbins to households in the municipality with approximate estimation cost of Rs. 6,37,500/-.

Total Dustbins Cost : 6,37,500 /-
Each Dustbin cost is : 75 Rs.
The Municipal Council Proposed to purchase from 14th Finance.
HOUSEHOLD AWARENESS ::
- The Dornakal Municipality conducting various rallies regarding pollution awareness and also regarding the plastic prevention and its uses, in displaying banners and making mike announcement over the town by various other ways in educating.
- The Municipality also conducting various meetings with Self Help Groups (SHGs) and other Non Government Organizations (NGOs) in the town.
- The Municipality also conducted various awareness campaigns against the usage of Plastic.
- Also made several notification in not to throw the wastage on roads for a clean Dornakal.
- Issued notices to private land owners isolated and left open to be taken care in form of cleaning it every couple of months so that no mosquitoes may form and no hotspot like garbage spot may not form.
- Made several announcements regarding plastic covers not to sell in shops for regular usage under 51 microns.
- Daily awareness programs are held in schools and colleges to educate students for the better future awareness over pollution and wastage.
- Imposing penalties for poor sanitation in hotels, restaurants and trade areas affecting pollution in public areas.
- Regular drain cleanings are initiated in major hotspots for the better maintenance of drains.
- Provided bins to regular wastage generators and collected every day.
- Planning for commercial collection in commercial areas from 6 to 9 pm
TRANSPORTATION ::
Every day transportation to Dumping yard for throwing of wastage is made by Two Tractors and they are used on a contract basis. There are 4142 Assessmented Houses and in that there are 400 Commercial shops it also a hotspot of bulk garbage generating area.
1.As per Swachh Sarvekshan Regulation for every 500 Houses : 1 swachh Auto has to be used.
- As per Swachh Sarvekshan Regulation for every 300 Commercial Shops : 1 swachh Mini Lorry has to be used.
Total no of auto’s required : 9 Auto’s Required
Total no of Mini lorries required : 2 Lorry’s Required
The Municipal Council is proposed to procure above vehicles by way of loan from the NATIONAL SAFAI KARAMCHARI FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (NSKFDC)

FSTP- FAECAL SLUDGE TREATMENT PLANT ::
The treatment process provides resource recovery options: treated wastewater for reuse in irrigation, biosolids as soil conditioner for farming, and biogas for cooking and lighting in the treatment plant caretaker’s home. Hence for this processing Treatment 1000 sq.yards of land is allotted at Kireetapuram in Dornakal Municipality.
